  1. Congratulations on 5 years Rob πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎ 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 from hippie Mike from Florida
    Cheers 🍻

  2. Hey Rob . Congratulations on you 5 year anniversary in Thailand . Just a quick question . How has Thailand fared with the Covid pandemic ? . Are airports etc open to receive visitors ?. I had a chat to someone the other day and he mentioned that Thailand had greatly relaxed the rules and regulations for people to stay there long term .. We had been looking at it as a ton of South Africans are leaving South Africa as things are not stable politically , and were put off a bit by the rules and regulations and inability to stay long term . So we got residence in Panama . Still intrigued by Thailand and its people though .

  3. Wow! 5 years! I have enjoyed Thailand through your videos, and learned a lot too.
    Thank you, Thailand Rob!

  4. How do Rob.
Me and my mucker Wayne the Train have been watching your videos now for a month or so and as a result will be coming over as soon as they’re letting people fly.
We’re going to stay for a couple of weeks in Bangkok initially where we plan to see the sights and smash a few back doors in on the local flange.
We will then fly to to Phuket and head over to you in Kamala so if you could put us up for a couple of weeks and help us find a banging pad that’d be cool.
You can show us how to do the YouTube thing and we can show you how to trap gash.
This time next year we can be doing a similar video to this where we are saying “good old TR put us up and set us on our way” and you can be putting out content with top totty on which I’m sure your subscribers would enjoy.
Additionally if you can show us how to rake the moolah in on PayPal and get parcels sent to us that’d be cool too.
Message us your address and we’ll let you know when we will be ringing your bell. Cheers fella.

  5. Google suggested you to me somewhere in the beginning. Been here ever since. Enjoying the journey and people along the way. Keep it up.

  6. Well done Rob! Subbed ages ago….
Met Kev a few years ago at the Hideaway Buffet (He was taller that I thought he would be!)
Never been to Phuket…yet. But will one day.

  7. hi 20″ in thailand!
more than your vlogs ( that isn’t to say i don’t like them, cos, honest, i do!), i appreciate you because you do care about your fellow human beings. you gave us evidence of your empathy with the late Kevin-in-Thailand.
    i personaly was really touched.
    can you speak thai now?

  8. I love that hilarious kid. I have no clue as you how you got him to shit talk about you like that on camera, lol

  9. If memory serves I was your twelfth subscriber, been with you for the whole journey!! And an awesome journey it has been, I always look forward to your videos! I wish I had been able to visit more, but I’m still dealing with medical isssues. Maybe next year with any luck I could visit, and meet you irl. Until that can happen I’ll just keep watching you on YouTube. Congratulations on making it to the five year mark, that’s a good milestone!! Thanks for sharing over the years, take care of yourself, and I’ll see you in the next one!!!

  10. Just shows you what can happen if you’re willing to take a chance in your life….Congratulations on 5 years!

  11. In October 2018 my Thai wife and I were sitting and enjoying some street food just over your right shoulder at 3:00 in the video. After that we walked to the Kamala Beergarden. What my wife didn’t know was we were actually there because I had carried with me a favorite photo of her to have your friend Kob make into a painting. Luckily my wife was too tired to continue walking so while she sat at the bar I was able to go to Kob’s studio and drop off the photo. The painting arrived in NC a couple months later. It turned out excellent. In 2016 I spent a week in Phuket. Funny thing was the day after I got back to Bangkok, I ran into you and had a chat at the Nana BTS station.

  12. Yo Rob … congrats on your 5 year anniversary, I am coming up on my one year anniversary in October πŸ˜„. Just moved from BKK to Pattaya and digging the lifestyle down here. Come visit when you get a chance.

  13. CONGRATS!!!! I’m glad your feeling better….I can’t wait to get back to my condo in Surin Beach and your right down the street from me….I’m stranded in California for now.

  14. Hi Rob, congratulations 5 years! .Your story really touched me, unbelievable. In any case, I am glad that you are now fully integrated, the most important thing is that you are now happy with your Thai wife. over there. Thanks for sharing your story. Really brave of you. πŸ‘πŸ™

  15. 5 years. What a asome journey. Epic manπŸΊπŸ‘.How many years do you need to stay In Thailand to become a citizen. Any idea how long more you will be in Thailand.

  16. Hi Rob. Happy anniversary and thanks for sharing it with us all. Although i have only been following your channel for about a year now i have picked up some valuable information and quite a few tips too just from from watching and learning. Looking forward to many more anniversaries to follow. I have one question for you though. How do you teach English to Thais when you can’t speak the Thai language yourself? You would need to be able to communicate in some way or other in order to explain English to them surely? How do you overcome that barrier? I’m still struggling to learn Thai after nearly 2 years of trying part time. And i know we westerners aren’t allowed to work in Thailand but there must be some other way of earning a small to modest income in “The Land Of Smiles” apart from teaching English and YouTube i’m sure but what???? Keep up the good vlogs. πŸŽ‚πŸ°πŸΎπŸΎπŸ₯‚πŸΊπŸΊ πŸ‘

  17. Well done on your first 5 years rob you keep making vlogs and we will continue on your time in Thailand with you i wish you many more Happy years in the fantastic land of smiles

  18. 5 years…congratulations. I remember the early days, from memory I started watching at around 1200 subscribers and Sunny was featuring you in his vlogs and helping you etc. Keep the dream going

  19. Wow 5 years, I must have signed up back in the early days too. Sunny and your videos provided the impetus to spend some time away from home and enjoy some travel for awhile. First 9 months were great and we spent 2 weeks in Kamala back in September, 2 months all up in Thailand then 3 months in Vietnam and a month in Bali. On to Malaysia and the Philippines… where the wheels fell off. Three months in quarantine in Palawan and then two weeks of delayed/stuck travel to get back to Australia. Currently now in two weeks of hotel quarantine in Sydney before we can travel on home – what a ride!!! Hope you will be around for awhile still on YouTube as vicariously travelling overseas may be all we have for awhile now. Stay safe and thanks for the inspiration πŸ™‚

  20. Happy birthday, now you’ve turned five…but seriously mate, congrats on your 5th anniversary…love your work and keep on being you…looking forward to the next installment, take care of your health, cheers bro πŸ™

  21. Well done Rob , 5 years, wow I’ve got callus’s the same age πŸ™€βŒ But seriously 😐 I started watching you in 2015 before I went to Phuket, Glad I did , learnt a few titbits that are handy πŸ‘πŸ‘Œβ‰οΈβ‰οΈThanks πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

  22. Thailand Robs journey is like the western movie “The good, the bad and the ugly”.
The good Rob came to Thailand
    The bad passing of Kev
The ugly this virus hitting all countries, lively hoods and lives.
It has been a bad few years hope this one goes fast.

  23. Congratulations! Love your channel and your infectious attitude, squirrel! Good luck on many more to come!

  24. This is interesting to me. I wouldn’t mind if you stretched this story out over several episodes. Visiting Thailand for the first time is going to another planet.

  25. Very good job on the five years! It’s strange that five years ago I also had a rebirth which also involved Thailand. My life is totally different and I’m happy with a beautiful Thai wife in America! Hope to see you in February if all this crap settles down.

  26. Congratulations Rob. Well done. Here’s to the next 5 years. Cheers 🍾🍾🍺🍺🍺 All the best. Mitch πŸ™

  27. Might be 5 years before the virus is beaten. So you did ok choosing Kamala. Some western cities getting worse. Not as bright as you Thais.

  28. Congratulations on the 5 years, Rob. Loved the early videos just as much as the new ones. Thanks!

  29. Hey, Rob. Congratulations on your five years. It seems like a year ago when you were drinking a bottle of coke in front of some mom-and-pop store in BKK. Glad you’ve made it, my friend!

  30. Amazing how time flies Rob! Been with you since the very beginning in BKK and your content was one of the main reasons my first trip to Thailand was in 2015 as well.

  31. How have you stayed for 5 years?. I was in Thailand for about 4 years 20 years ago. I was able to stay with non resident visas and many monthly visa runs but I hear its a lot harder these days

  32. Hi Rob,

  41. Hey Rob congrats on 5 years! Who’d of thunk it! Hope u feel better and do not have the virus. You might want to get tested. Take care, please keep the videos coming they are helping keep me sane in my 4th month of isolation! Virus here in Nevada still going crazy, another 800+ cases today, 200 hospitalizations and 3 more deaths. Really wish I was back in Patong or Kamala Beach.

  42. Since you said that you were not feeling well lately now I know why you haven’t been shaving, I was gonna say lookin a little hairy Rob.Β Happy 5 years in Thailand bro.
Much love and friendship from Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Rob. Could you talk more in another video about how you came up with the music and end montage and maybe anymore facts about you and your channel? Like have you ever had hair on that bald head of yours? I shave my head twice a year.

  43. Happy anniversary Rob, Proud of you Bruv you got off the plane and created a new life for yourself. Takes balls. I hope the next five years is good to you. enjoy your content but above all that I like you. M

  44. Hi Rob, I’ve been following your channel for a while and there’s something that intrigues me and that you might have covered already a ton of times… Apart from the 4K that you brought to Thailand, how did you plan your finances for the years to come until potentially the rest of your life? Had you saved a decent plot of money? 401k? Passive income? As someone who works in the financial sector (I believe you worked there too) it’d be great if you could shed some light here to assess how someone should approach this life changing event. Thanks!

  45. Congratulations!!! That’s a great milestone, can’t wait to see what the next 5 years brings…

  46. wow, i started watching you here on youtube when you was living with boom and steve. that’s has been awhile huh?love you man, in a good way.(not judging) lol I wish I could pay you for the great job you have done for me in a bad time in my life! Your the greatest! stay safe and God Bless.

  47. Congratulations, Rob, on thriving in Thailand for 5 years and surviving 6 years, 2 months, and a few days on YouTube without getting banned (considering some of your friendly trolls, this is quite the feat). Let me borrow the money to buy you a couple of Leo Yai’s to celebrate and I’ll pay you back the next time I catch a livestream and can superchat you — I think that would be the Thai version of “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today”

  48. Congratulations for your 5 year anniversary. Been watching you about 4 and half years and loved every vlog…. Sometimes hope your vlogs could be little longer. Hope you make at least 5 years more your vlogs…. All the best to you Rob!!!!!

  56. Happy Anniversary!!! I still recall coming across your channel just before I went to Thailand myself. It seems like a lifetime ago… I know that I’m a different person from 5 years ago, and it is easy to see you have also expanded your horizons and grew as your person.
