SK Tourist Spots

Destination: KOREA | Busan II | 2017 | rxgine

A month of summer spent in Korea 🇰🇷

In this episode of Korea vlog, we get to visit Busan (부산), again! While my parents visited me in Korea during my summer school in Hanyang University, we decided to head over to Busan via KTX and explore the city. During our short 2D1N stay in Busan, these are the places that we managed to visit.

The highlight of the trip has got to be trying raw and live octopus (산낙지) and king crab (왕게) for the very first time at Jagalchi Market (자갈치시장). If you know me, I’m not a fan of raw dishes like sashimi or whatnot and coupled with the fact that these octopus tentacles are still wiggling and moving, and could possibly stick to your tongue, I was really nervous about eating them. Nevertheless, I ate it! I think I deserve a pat on the back haha. They don’t taste bad but they do have a weird texture to it that needed a bit of getting used to. Surprisingly, I wouldn’t mind having it again. On the other hand, we had the king crab which I absolutely LOVE. It was so fresh, juicy and sweet but of course, that did come with a pretty heavy price tag HAHA. It was 101% worth the try and I would definitely be back for more despite the price tag.

On top of that, we visited Bujeon Market (부전마켓타운) which was just a 5 minute walk from the hotel we stayed in, BIFF Square (BIFF 광장) an area in Busan dedicated to the Busan International Film Festival, and of course the very beautiful and scenic Haedong Yonggungsa Temple (해동 용국사) which was truly breathtaking.
