After 49 years of doing the hamster-wheel in California, I finally left it all
and decided to see what Southeast Asia had to offer. I moved to the Philippines
for 6 years, experienced some of the best times of my entire life!
Now, I am exploring again and living in Vietnam. Join me as I venture out to see
more of Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. I will share with you my thoughts on
what I see and how I handle the various challenges of living as a full-time expat
in Southeast Asia. For more photos and non-Youtube videos, join or follow my

The place you called the booking station, before you and Gina took the boat across the bay, it reminds me of checking in at the airport. Checking in and then getting to your destination. In this case it was by boat instead of plane. Only thing missing was the security checkpoint. Very fancy place.
Not trying to be a troll but I hope you understand that the video ppl put on YouTube and Facebook don’t necessarily mean that’s their life is like that day to day. Not saying that Reekay is making sh$ts up but take it for what it is..an entertainment video. I lived there for 9 years and my wife is from there. We go on trips and have fun but it’s not all fireworks all the time so don’t expect that when you go there.
i’d say anyone who follows the channel already knows this is the case. if you look at my other videos, i am usually in saigon and visiting everyday places.
I was convinced that you will be back in the Philippines. After watching your Vietnam videos now I understand why Vietnam is a better place for you and a long shot better. I’m starting to realize that the Philippines is not as great as I thought. You have a higher standard of living for the same amount of money in Vietnam than in the Philippines.
Thanks for the reply I used to wacth that program too, probably late at night there. It’s 8:23 eastern time in Atlanta GA I Iive right out by the airport planes fly over my domicile every day,you can see one of them in the background from a video I uploaded on my YouTube channel Uncle Marky Van Project
Enrique: I don’t understand – you were on a “group tour” and on the bus ? $150. USD per nite for your room sounds expensive . I am slowly getting the strong impression that VN is much nicer than the Phil. in most respects. Thank you . FR USA
Hi Reekay! Always enjoy keeping up with your adventures. This is a bit off topic, however did you see that the US is planning close their immigration office in Manila effective in July of this year?
Let me know if you find out any more about how this will affect immigration. My fiancee and I were planning to have her come here (US) from Cebu in a year when she graduates from nursing school. Thank you my friend!

Lovely !
And this is a Communist country? THAT’s hard to imagine!
Right? it’s not what you think of when you hear communism !
Communist politically. There’s a plus. If you have money you can buy the law, pretty much everything here.
The view @ 6:12 just like Subic Bay in the Philippines
Welcome to……… Fantasy Island

yes, in fact i just posted to my FB about that today. the Embassy in the PH will remain open. only the office that handled immigration of filipinos will be closed and those services handled by the Embassy, according to this article… https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/06/04/19/us-citizenship-immigration-services-to-close-manila-office
I believe this is the same resort that hosted the Miss Universe contest some years ago.
