There was an article in the Bangkok Post in mid-June-ish about a “Park” opening up.
One that was constructed atop a defunct skytrain bridge, across the Chao Phraya River. Transformational. I hadn’t seen any updates from Bangkok Post BUT did find a few other articles as well as “reviews” when Googling “Chao Phraya SKYPARK” that indicated it was open, had had its Grant Opening ceremony of some kind and the ratings were all 5 stars. Ok, cool. I hopped in the BTS to the MRT to the Sanam Chai Station, walked about 10-15 minutes and found it!
Considering it used to be an abandoned train bridge from a Skytrain (not BTS) project that never even got off the ground I would have to say that Bangkok has done an EXCELLENT job to transforming this location into something that indeed adds value to the city.
Well Done!!!
“*The cityβs first sky park is, in fact, a pedestrian walkway, about 280 metres long and 8.5 metres wide, built on the abandoned superstructure of the Lavalin rail project, in the middle of the King Rama VII Bridge.*”

I’d recommend it if you are ever near Wat Po, the Grand Palace.
