This is the Sunday evening market in Pak Phanang in Nakhon Si Thammarat in the south of Thailand. It’s a huge market, with dozens of Thai street food vendors, clothes stalls and heaps of other shopping. You’ll find lots of delicious local specialities there, including some you’re unlikely to find anywhere else
The market is open every Sunday from 4pm till 8pm.
The Google Maps coordinates for the market are: https://goo.gl/maps/g59uCEQSSrrUrjvk9
Nakhon Si Thammarat (นครศรีธรรมราช) is both a province and a city in Southern Thailand and it’s is a foodie Paradise … there is loads of great food there! It is well off the tourist trail and is a destination that not a lot of people visit, however it’s a great province where you can get a taste of real Thai culture. It has some amazing Thai food and attractions that you can visit. And there is loads to do – great markets, restaurants, beaches, islands, national parks, waterfalls and even pink dolphins! It’s a beautiful part of Thailand!

Or for more on Thai street food check out my recent video, Phuket Street Food: 8 Things You Should Try in 2019 here:
You’ll find Thai street food on many street corners in Thailand, as well as at every market, be it in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phuket, Krabi, Bangkok or Pattaya. Thai food has taken many influences from Chinese food so you will find many familiar flavours. Thai food markets and night markets are some of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all over Thailand, you’re never far from one. At the markets you’ll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily since April 2012 in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!

The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You’ll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in Thai restaurants. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.
Make sure you check out some Thai food markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that’s available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!
