Dragon Bridge in Da Nang, Vietnam with a length of 666 meters is the longest bridge in Vietnam, offering a dazzling display of lights, fire, and water, which mesmerizes the visitor, particularly at night and especially on weekends and holidays after 9.00 pm when it is illuminated with colourful LED lights and the dragon spits water or breathes fire from its mouth. It is constructed in the shape of a golden dragon on River Han which passes through Da Nang city. The bridge provides a direct routes to My Khe Beach and Non Nuoc Beach. It is 37.5m wide and has six lanes for traffic. It was completed in October 2012 and opened for traffic in March 2013. In Vietnam mythology, the dragon is a significant symbol of power, nobility and good fortune. There are number of bars, restaurants, and cafes on the bank of River Han, close to the bridge. The promenade along the river provides a wonderful sight for an evening walk.
